Intro to web design for beginners (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)

Morning Workshop


Learn how to develop and code your own website using HTML and CSS. This intensive morning course will equip you with the skills you need to start developing your own website or online portfolio for personal or business use.

You’ll learn:

How to use HTML5 to structure and format content.

How to use CSS3 to style your site including how to add buttons and animations.

How to use bootstrap to fast track design and development of your site.

How to optimise your site for mobile and tablets.

Common design and development mistakes.

During the day you will gain:

A good understanding of basic web development and design.

The confidence to create your own web content and change code ‘under the hood’ of popular content management systems such as Wix, Wordpress and SquareSpace.

Ed Fish is a creative technologist and program director at D-Lab. He is also associate lecturer at Surrey University in Creative Coding.
