Open Make Night at D-Lab is a new, weekly meetup for members of this group to bring along their own projects to work on, get help, collaborate or just use some of our great machines and facilities. Whether you're building a robot, a model, an art piece, a game, an app, a website or anything - or if you are repairing or restoring something - bring it along and join us. Whether you are into wood, ceramics, mechanics, electronics, programming or any creative medium, this Meetup is open to you. Even if you just want to socialise with other makers or pick up some new skills or ideas, come along.
D-Lab has a selection of 3D printers, laser cutters, a CNC router, a woodwork shop and various electronics tools available for you to use (after a short induction). We have technicians on hand to help you out, and the goal is that participants will assist each other. That said, this is a makers' meetup, so don't expect to get someone to build or repair stuff for you!
All are welcome regardless of skills or abilities. Under sixteens must be accompanied by an adult. We ask for a small donation on the evening to go towards running the space and suggest £3 per person. We also ask you to pay for materials you use, but feel free to bring your own. Unfortunately we can't offer storage space for your items between sessions. Please sign up so we know how many people to expect, and change your rsvp if you find you can't make it.
